Lebara sim re keeping my number

Hi. I got the 35g Lebara sim through MSE sometime last year. The cost went up last month. I was wondering if I get it again can I get the pac number from lebara for the new sim even though im staying with Lebara. I know you can for a different network but does it work the same if I'm staying with lebara but just changing the sim. Or is there another way to transfer my number from the older sim to the new one.

Port out number to AN Other provider…

Port back to Lebara on the new SIM.

Been asked and answered many times, but the search facility isn't that hot one here. Risk is always a loss of the number due to porting errors.

….and can't suggest a sacrificial PAYG SIM that'll be less than a fiver to get operational.

You can't directly switch from Lebara to Lebara using a PAC code.

You would have to switch

• from Lebara → someone else and then
• from someone else → Lebara (new sim).

That other sim will usually cost £5-10 plus its two days in quick succession you have patchy service.

Instead, I personally would look for the next best deal with another provider, use that as long until the price jumps, and then come back to Lebara after many months. The difference between the other deal and Lebara usually isn't so much that its worth the cost of a temporary sim you don't even use and the hassle of engineering two switches.
