Stansted airport EV Hub fine

Good afternoon,

A fine has been received for 'overstay on free parking' at the stansted airport EV hub (which also houses caffe nero and burger king).

A couple of points:

- the evidence shows that the vehicle entered and exited within 50 minutes

- free parking is 1 hour.

- the signage is at the point of entry (attached) and was shared with me by a helpful batista when I called up and requested it. I do not know if there is other signage as well.

- the car was a rental and therefore an admin fee has been charged by the rental company

- the rental company has been contacted and they have stated (verbay) that the admin fee will be reimbursed if the fine is cancelled

The appeal seems straightforward but should i mention any guidance around signage and visibility to user?

Within the initial appeal, can i state that the site managers need to reimburse/pay as the inaccuracy is wholly their fault?

If you hire an EV in the future please remember that you should very rarely need to charge to 100%.on rapid chargers (which can take a very long time as the charge rate drops dramatically after you pass 80%) and you should get away with 15-40 min stops.

Did you charge it or just park the car in the electric charger parking bay?

The car is not electric. Parked in a normal bay (not an EV one).

What is the evidence that the vehicle arrived and left within 50 minutes? What evidence have they provided to show you stayed more than an hour? Is it possibly a 'double dip' where you visited twice in one day and they've counted it as one long stay?

The evidence on the notice and online constitutes 2 images, one showing entry and the other showing exit. The entry time is shown as 13.30 and the exit time is shown as 14.20. There is no reference or evidence of multiple entry on either the paper notice or online platform.

Obviously no implying who was driving, as this is an Airport. No keeper liability!

Show us the NTK, both sides. Because they've done it before and they even misled POPLA, I'm going to bet NSL have misled the recipient that POFA keeper liability applies.

I had this the other day, i am not sure its actually airport land as i believe it sites outside the boundary, although i could of course be wrong, it seems the charging station is just off the main road, although i stood to be corrected said the man in the orthopaedic shoes….
