    Qatar Airways
I and my family of 3 were delayed for 6+ hours in Doha waiting for a connecting flight to Tanzania. Sleeping on the floor of the airport was not very pleasant
I filled in the appropriate forms upon my return. I have since heard nothing from QA other than issuing me the original case number and the occasion email-recd confirm. THE DELAYED FLIGHT WAS OVER 2 YEARS AGO
QA has ghosted me throughout. I eventually got the CAA involved and QA ghosted them as well. Unfortunately, the CAA has no enforcement authority even for statutory payments like this
In the end, I had to take QA to court. QA admitted liability but still filed a Defence in which they only offered to pay for 1 person delay because the MCOL claim form only allows 1 person's name as Claimant (the other family members were mentioned n the Particulars). Furthermore, they claimed my child was ineligible because he was a minor and could not make a court claim. In addition, they asserted that interest could not be added to my claim because in was a statutory amount due and not a debt
When one makes a claim, the court requires a phone-mediation session. QA refused to participate. Instead, QA had the case transferred from London, where I live and QA has its only office, to Liverpool thus making it onerous for me to attend any hearing

Sounds like a real struggle, well done for sticking with it. The one point I would make is that QA probably saved you some time by skipping the mediation session as you're presumably not going to settle for less than the full amount, and they'd never offer that at mediation as it's a worst case outcome for them. The mediation call has to take place, but attendance is entirely optional (see the many threads over on the parking forum).
