my shawbrook isa has now been transferred, just waiting to show up in the close brothers acc

2010

I have a Shawbrook ISA maturing and have requested they transfer it to their EA account rather than their Matured ISA account paying buttons.

I've also requested a part transfer for it to another provider.

I received an email from Shawbrook saying the following.


We’ll release your funds on a future date
Dear XX

We’ve received your request to transfer your Shawbrook ISA to xx Building Society. We have informed them that we have put your request on hold until your account matures.

Having read this post, it will be interesting to see what happens on maturity.

The transfer will fail. The best way is

Cancel the maturity option using link at bottom of maturity options screen.

Let the transfer go through.

The transfer the remaining funds to the new ISA you want.

or cancel the transfer and resubmit when you have the easy access account number.

today my isa transfer is now showing up in my close brothers acc, so its went through with very little issue

just hope ive done the right thing now at 4.85% fixed untill aug 2031

2010

I've only ever fixed at 5 years once and that was quite a few years ago with Newcastle b/s at 5% for an ISA.

Over the years afterwards interest rates tumbled to as low as 0.5%.

No one knows what will happen, just pot luck really.
