Ref an earlier thread regarding EE wanting to double my monthly "pay as you go" mobile service. (I was with Plusnet paying £6 a month, EE wanted £12.50, with annual increases).

A month in with Lebara and everything has been fine. Even a trip to Europe with no roaming charges, (just use your normal data allowance, EE charge £15).

So happy with my decision so far, and it's a monthly contract so I can cancel anytime.

AFAIK, all third party providers are significantly cheaper for rolling contracts etc than the main network providers.

I am also with Lebara and no problems.

Thanks for posting that. Thankfully the latest BT head honcha appears to have rowed back on her predecessor's strategy to migrate all domestic customers to EE so I am still on my inexpensive BT mobile contract with its roam like home in the EU / EEA facility. The best EE deal when they kept pushing 'offers' at me was twice the BT price with no roam like home included so I had narrowed down my exit to Lebara or Smarty for when the axe fell. Not an issue while we currently have a stay of execution but good to hear of a positive experience. Review sites by their very nature have a disproportionate number of negative stories which doesn't always help when trying to decide on a provider.

I've been with Lebara for about 3 years. I've been to many countries in Europe and it hasn't let me down once.

We've done several cruises in that time and I even get a connection when we're at sea if we're sailing within about 30 miles from the nearest land. I've only lost connection a couple of times, but that was only for about an hour or so.
