Google takes over!

Just got a new computer, running Vista, has that lovely looking google toolbar down the side.
Whenever im searching on the internet, could be anything from checking emails to jsut browsing, google seems to take over and I am reverted to a random google search where it finds nothing, meaning i have to go back to where i was and normally lose what i was doing.

Can anyone help???

Hey i deleted google toolbar and google desktop, but noticed today that the problem still hasnt gone away, and whilst doing some myspace browsing (which doesnt happen very often) i was randomly diverted to a google image search for the web page i was trying to access, not a clue why.

    can anyone help?

Did you uninstall it from add/remove progs? Also remove google desktop search in the same way. get rid of the ms live search as well.
Contact your pc vendor and see if you can get an upgrade to xp

    it is worth considering,
xp will be supported until at least 2014. Your pc may not last that long.
You can upgrade with any copy of xp you have a legit key for. On activation ring up the number provided and tell them you have changed to xp, Give them your vista key and they will activate it. Be aware that this is non reversable & if you wanted vista in the futire you would have to buy it.

Vista is great, much better than XP ever was. I'd never go back to XP.

Some people just can't deal with change, I remember when no one would upgrade to the superior Windows XP from whatever they were using previously.

I loved windows 95 though personally.

I need to get out more :(

I think vista is better as in style, but as a whole it depends how you use the computer to be honest.
As the computer wil be used mainly for gaming, xp would probably suit me better as I enjoy the old games.

This is happening because you are searching your machine and not the internet..
I would have used my own initiative if someone would have told me to!
