Blackcats

washed and dried a sofa throw that someone might have inadvertently dropped some chocolate on from their sneakily snaffled maggy num. as my nan used to say 'God pays debts without words".

polishing done in the lounge and cat puke cleared up and stain on carpet dealt with. The cat eats his dreamies so quickly that sometimes they come straight back out 🤢

Organised some jewellery and untangled a gold chain on a necklace my mum left me. It's her anniversary tomorrow so I shall wear the necklace and think of her and thank her for being such a good mum.

Kitchen worktops are tidy and clean.

Time for a cup of tea and to listen to my book, mrBC is at bee n q buying something or other that is apparently important for a slow moving diy project.

Not much to report here.

• painted miscellaneous lengths of wood which form the fascia/trim/whatever of shed. Only the doors to paint now and I'm waiting until it's all up before deciding whether it will be darker, as per the main shed, or lighter as per the trim.
• watered greenhouse/veg/patio containers.
• went to library via Mr T for a couple of things.
• went to tkmax and got a new lightweight small suitcase.
• visited daughters of our late friend.
• pretty much decided on and packed clothes for our 3-day birthday treat in London.
• sent various messages as we heard that our friend on terminal C passed this morning. Like I said the last X times, this is getting relentless. I should just be glad Mr N and I are alive.

Tomorrow is water plants, do final packing, go to the lake for a swim. Neighbour is taking us to the station after lunch.

Morning all - hugs Narco.

ironed yesterday - a feat in itself in this heat, with the intention of stripping and changing the bed, but that didn't happen. I was too pooped after outmoving. Got my mammogram result…and breathe.

Also did SDs garden watering and cat feeding.

I did put a wash on - I am wearing the same 5 dresses on rotation and washing after every wear (for freshness) because of the effects of the heat + meds I'm on.

Off to the hairdresser shortly.

It's weeeeekeeeennnd woot woot 🥳 Not that it makes a difference what day it is at the moment 😉

I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my new meds, turned over the calendars, completed the nyt puzzles, taken my old meds, and I've been to feed DB's cats. I drove to DB's, which seems the height of laziness but I don't feel so good this morning. I don't feel ilI exactly, just not well. Again.

So I'm going to rest, drink plenty of water, and accept this is how I feel at the moment, instead of pushing myself to feel better. 🙃

I had been wondering if you had got away with sneaking the maggy num, Blackcats 🤣

DH managed to get himself up and out of the house by 7.00 this morning as he wanted to catch an early train to the wargaming convention in Leicester. He won't be back before lunch, so I am left to my own Flying-avoidance devices! So far I have taken in a Jungle delivery for DH and found myself unable to lock the front door afterwards. We always seem to have problems with the door lock when the weather is hot- I suspect that the frame warps so that one of the bolts isn't engaging into the frame plate. I'll have another go in a minute.

I brought down the laundry hamper earlier; the contents have been swished and pegged out. Slowly. Twot for Rounds 🥵. Emptied laundry hamper is at the bottom of the stairs ready to take up the next time I go up.

Morning all. Hugs etc where needed.

So far today I have done dailies, walked Poppet and three washes are on the line. Have decided on a relaxing day with DH so I'm in the garden now about to do puzzles. There is a football match to watch this afternoon and tonight we're out to a concert of James Bond music in York.

I may do some dead heading.

Yes, eventually, thank you, round. Fortunately we have a side door as well, so we can use that until DS1 can come and sort the dodgy lock.

I have showered, dressed, emptied the DW, breakfasted, started WMx1, and been to the local shops to collect DH's prescription from the pharmacy. Just drinking another cuppa before I go downstairs to fetch the laundry and drape it all over the bathroom. With all the upstairs windows open and a through draught, it will dry quickly.
