Good Afternoon all xx
I hope both you and Rosie had a peaceful night, iona.
I got up at 7 to take my new meds, made my bed, turned over the calendars, completed Waffle and failed at Wordle.
Got dressed, took my old meds, and ambled to DB's to feed the cats. Ambled home again. Completed the rest of the nyt puzzles- only managed two lines on Connections. Surgery phoned to ask about my request for a further fit note. She signed me off til 31st October, and told me I can phone to make an appointment to talk to the Mental Health Nurse if I feel the need. Fit note emailed to work. Most of my angst was around having to return to work before I felt able to deal with the shenanigans there, so I'm hoping I'll sleep better tonight.
I've still not heard anything back from the hospital re: my second lot of results. When I do I'll ask for a time frame around the follow up treatment..even an approximation will do. Til then I guess I can declutter and fly, maybe even garden a little. I've perfected the art of SOFA; time to up the ante a little and do a bit, sit a bit. I know that works for me.
Love to all

I must have been infected by Flylady magic earlier as I set my timer for 15 minutes and:
- fed the birds
- put out the recycling
- binned the packaging from my present from work colleagues
- WULTD pots
- WULTD plastic punnet
- put a coffee jar to soak
- wiped down the kitchen worktop

I've done a binbag dance, pegged out towels and brought them back in. Went to feed Trigger the mis-named cat (SD is not native British and makes some cracking mistakes even though he has lived here almost all his life - my sister keeps a record of them in a notebook, apparently. He once called me erotic when I was a teenager - he meant erratic 😂 anyway Trigger is called Trigger because he looks like a tiger - SD actually meant to name him after the Winnie-the-Pooh character). Then I went into town as I wanted to pick up my prescription swimming goggles. Had a bit of extra time for car parking so I treated myself to an iced latte. I have come home, eaten lunch and watched countdown. Catching up with some admin now.

Thank you Honey Bear4 -
we were away for 2 days looking after grandkids - lovely but exhausting and purse-emptying.
Washing done, dried, put away
All stuff put back to where it shoukd be
Bathroom cupboard cleaned, inside and out and some gu kedup dregs of toiletries disposed of. Bathroom floor cleaned.
Cleared up the devastation caused by making a chocolate cake with a 4 year old 😱

Thank you round, there were no more loud bangs last night and Rosie came up for her treats as soon as she heard me shaking the plastic container where I keep them, then slept in her usual place.
We - all three of us - have been out to one of our favourite NT properties today. Rosie and I did a walk that we've never tried before, down the hill and along a tree- and shrub-lined path to the Orangery. No oranges there (or bananas for scale, if that means anything to you 😉 ), but we sat inside for a quarter of an hour, watching a pair of swifts flying in and out to feed the three babies that they had hatched and raised at the top of a Roman-style column.
Before we left home I mopped the kitchen floor so am claiming Flying points. I also sorted out a date for a long phonecall with my old school friend R, and finished off the research for N and sent it off to him with an explanatory email. He replied at lunchtime, highly delighted with the information I'd managed to find for him. I do research into other people's family history just for a favour and a bit of fun, not for payment, and some just accept it without comment, so it makes me really happy when someone is genuinely excited about my findings and recognises the amount of effort that I've put into the job.
I've still got more of T's big family history research job to write up tomorrow. It won't matter if it flows over into Saturday because DH is planning to go to a wargames convention, so hopefully I shall be able to get on with the work uninterrupted. The only spanner in the works might be thrown in by the nurse that he's seeing tomorrow about his legs, which are in a dreadful state again.

Morning al
Went to Outswimming cancer last night and wore the goggles I finally got around to collecting. Not sure they make seeing much easier but my eyes were less red, apparently. Also bought some cards and did a few errands while in town. Swiiming stuff to peg out today
Vacuumed bedroom and landing.

Morning all xx
Didn't sleep well at all. I was doing nyt puzzles at 4am to pass the time. Dozed off eventually and 7am alarm woke me up to take my new meds.
I'm showered, dressed, made my bed, taken old meds, turned over the calendars, fed the birds, put out the recycling, had a brew, eaten breakfast, fed DB's cats, driven to town to pick up repeat prescription of new meds, called at Co-op for milk, marge, bread, and piccalilli (because I've been fancying piccalilli for some reason) and paid out of my dividend so it feels like it was free 🤣.
I don't feel so good today. I think I overdid it walking to DB's and back twice yesterday. Its really not far but I did drag myself back last night so maybe once a day is enough. I went in the car this morning as I was on my way to town. I'll walk this evening.
I think it's coffee time. Join me?

Hello all. Don't overdo it Round.
Today I've done a work shift, walked Poppet, done dailies, watered garden, checked banking, hoovered through, repaired a curtain, made a doctors appointment (diagnosis is arthritis), parcelled up another sale and finished sorting through the kids stuff. Have taken some books to the little library in the village.
Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Sorry to hear you've got arthritis, Jazee - join the club! I hope you find a way to manage the pain successfully.
Round, please don't try to do too much before your body is ready. You said you've been signed off until 31st October, so the GP is obviously expecting you to need *at least* 2 months for a full recovery. Take the rest of the day off and sleep if you need to.
So far today I have
- done nyt puzzles and online jigsaws
- eaten breakfast
- wiped the kitchen worktops
- done a quick PUPA in the LR
- showered and dressed
- watered the pots before the sun got round to them
- dusted my bedroom
- got DH to give me his dirty laundry and started WMx1
- tidied away some bits and pieces that were cluttering up the study bedroom
- partially sorted out some financial stuff that came in the post - will need to return to this at the end of the month
- found that I already have a birthday card for DD (50 on 30th) but none for DGD2 (14 on Sunday)
- started writing a shopping list (not a long one) for this afternoon - must remember to add " card for DGD2"
- wondered where the rest of the morning has gone - probably too much daydreaming and giving Rosie a fuss.
WM load swap next, then lunch.

Iona is right, Round - gentle activity and lots of rest is the way to go. Half my ironing done. Swimming stuff on line. Annual mammogram result received - all good.
Off to exercise shortly.
