I meant that there is nothing to stop Dobies booking a van to collect the furniture that they missold rather than expecting the OP to spend time that the OP wont be paid for

Can I clarify something?

The set you bought was on half price offer. Did this offer just apply to the "old stock" or was it applicable to the "new stock" also. If not then you have a half price bargain!

Why did you assemble all the furniture when you could of assembled one of the chairs and then realised that it wasn't the same as the one at Dobbies and then you would of only had one item to disassemble.

If all the items were one one box then that's different.

Then again it could just me that does things like that.

What relevance is this to their consumer rights? They are under no obligation to test out every item as they go along. Maybe they waited until it was all assembled before having a sit-down.

I never said it had anything to do or not to do with their consumer rights.

So they assembled all 3 chairs to try and then realised it was wrong when 1 chair would of been enough to try and the photos show the 2 sets are different.

I don't understand how you can't get the long bar from the 2 seater into your hatchback car, not even if you have it slightly to the left thru the middle of the front seats? It's only 2 seats wide.

Also how did you plan to take the items away if you had been allowed to purchase the set that was on display, surely that wouldn't fit in your car either.

The 2 parts that make up the 2 seater legs/stands are all in 1 section so it's not 1x long pole as you said.
