Flight change time - can I claim?
I realise this is not an actual delay as such, but we had our flight times changed, which resulted in us basically losing a day of our holiday as we arrived so late. We received notification of this change in advance - does this qualify for any sort of compensation at all?

Unlikely under the flight delay/cancellation regulations, but how far in advance of travel were you notified, how many hours were involved, and with which airline? Were you offered any option to cancel or change?
Also, was this a package or just a flight-only booking?

It was a few weeks in advance and package with On the Beach. We were not offered anything else, just told.

OTB's terms, like those of many other package providers, use 12 hours as the threshold over which a change would be deemed significant, triggering various rights under the Package Travel Regulations, including the option to cancel for a full refund.
If your flight was changed by more than 12 hours or resulted in one less night's stay at your holiday accommodation, then you might have had these rights when advised of the change, but if you effectively accepted it then there won't be compensation available from OTB after the event.
It's much the same situation with any rights you may have had with the airline.
