Process for Appealing a PCN / Debt Collection for a Courtesy Vehicle

Hello,

I today received a letter in the post from a debt collection agency regarding a PCN which I've not paid, and a request for immediate payment.

It is for a courtesy vehicle.

It is the first contact I have received.

I wanted to sense check my process here to see if there's anything else I should be doing:

  1. Email to the Debt Collection agency disputing the debt.
  2. Email to the parking firm requesting information, including:
    1. A copy of the original hire/courtesy car agreement.
    2. A copy of the statement of liability signed by me.

I personally don't have any evidence of being at this location on this day, as I was working from home and don't have anything else in my calendar to suggest anything else. I cannot find entry logs for the office door for that day either.

I have been cautious with the information provided here, so please let me know if there is anything else you need to advise on this.

Thanks
