Lebara 'Refer and Earn' appears to be a SCAM.
I used Lebara's 'Refer and Earn' special link to refer a friend who used my the link to migrate to Lebara last APRIL. Followed all t&c's carefully. I got no reward, called to complain. Lebara confirms my friend used to link to open a new account but refused my reward claiming their own website does not show the transaction, therefore it did not occur. That's exactly my point, their system is wrong. An agent had already confirmed the link was used to open a new account, now their manager says it did not occur. Mysteriously disappearing transaction records??
Furthermore, they disconnected my calls to complain, gave me deliberately wrong information, wasted a lot of my time, refused to provide call recordings which they claim to make of every call.
I've filed a formal complaint with OfCom. I have screenshots, notes of all agent names, call times and dates. Always get the receipts!
