Kettle Randomly Turning Itself Off

These days we usually buy small electricals such as kettles and toasters from either Aldi or Lidl, you get a 3 year warranty, keep the receipt safe unless you have on-line receipts. These items are fairly basic, usually cost around £12-£15, and have mainly lasted much longer than 3 years. We did have one kettle that leaked from new, it was replaced without question.

We abandoned our original stainless steel kettle, a wedding present some 57 years back, in favour of one that switches off when it has boiled, but we still have it in a cupboard and it does still work. Unfortunately my OH likes to try to fix things, so we also have a few non working kettles that he is hoarding. I know they will NEVER get fixed!!

I've got two Dualit items, both work perfectly but I know they have a repair service. I think it would be an idea if the OP spoke to Dualit and it may just be a simple fix. They also have a trouble shooting guide on their website. Their products are well built but like with every brand some will fail.
