I wasn't there, Google timeline proof. UKPC ticket

I've been stung before for overstaying the 1.5 hours at a particular local retail park, so am very vigilant now. But UKPC have photo 'evidence' of me staying 2h20mins at the place. I wasn't there at all that day, my Google timeline backs this up. I've sent screenshots with on the appeal. what can I expect, now. Thanks

UKPC monitor vehicle movements, not people, so this is about your vehicle or VRM , or not if a mistake was made, like a misread, , its not about where YOU were, or your phone

As mentioned above, expect a rejection

Was going to say the same, where one persons phone was doesn't really prove anything. Expect a swift rejection.

You might not of been the driver, you might have left your phone at home, etc.

As you mention, they claim they have evidence your vehicle overstayed.

    Know what you don't

Can you prove where the car was? Even something like you drive to work and can prove you were at work that day?

Take a close look at the photos they provide (assuming they did, if not, ask for them) and see if it looks like your car. Right colour, wrong model? Furry dice dangling from the rearview mirror, or not? Basically can you prove it's not your car and they've sent the notice to the wrong owner?

As above, the NTK will not say they have any evidence about YOU, only the vehicle of which you are the keeper, if you didn't drive it there you could dob in who did and let them deal with it, otherwise they will just keep pestering you.

I'm guessing based on how the OP is framing the PCN as being issued against them and that they regularly visit the location that they are identifying as the driver at the material time that this PCN was issued.

Therefore if they have stated they were the driver at the material time and have proven with Google timeline that they were at the location and left during the supposed contravention period then the phone data is valid. UKPC still likely to reject but depends on how appeal is worded.

Sounds like a double dip but OP you need to provide more detail for better guidance.

If the parking company knows anything about Google timelines, they can be edited, deleted, times adjusted etc so you can make yourself be somewhere for more or less time. Maybe they don’t know, and the screenshot 'proof' will be accepted.

Yes it is a place I regularly visit, but I was not there that day. I was actually parked at a country park in another part of the county, but did not keep the receipt for the parking. I have asked them if they can provide evidence of my stay there!

So to be clear; you are saying that the vehicle they claim was at their managed retail park was elsewhere and it never went to that car park on the day they say?

They should have sent ANPR (unless it was a foot patrol) images of an entry and exit of the vehicle they are claiming was there that is all they will have.
