I had dental surgery a couple of days ago and am slowly starting to feel less pain and therefore less tired from it.
I'm on soft food for 2 weeks. I do like scrambled egg, mashed potato…but I am thinking I may need to get more creative with flavours. Maybe more ice cream???
Pip has finished his summer job a few days early - it had been building up and I'm so proud of him for not only managing to do as much as he did, but also to realise that enough was enough and he needed to stop. He now has about 10 days to relax and recover before starting at college.
We have had rain - whoop whoop! Proper rain.
I am grateful for the cooler temperatures, for having a comfy bed to sleep in, for the surgery going well, for ibuprofen, for not having to go anywhere!

A very slow day for me. My legs do not want to do anything and it took most of the day to get all the washing out and bring about half of it in again (I brought in some of the dry items earlier and put other things in the space). It was mostly bedding and towels so very heavy.
Feeling rather frustrated by not being able to do things but have done lots of reading and watched 2 series of one drama (have to wait for newer episodes every Wednesday now) and the first 9 episodes of another over the past 2 days. Mrs Builder put a lot of stuff in 2 boxes (I told her to) but I can't find my notebook and diary and some little items and I don't want to just tip everything out again.
Grateful for books and drama series, my bed and assorted props to support my legs (I am doing rather well on the leg and ankle exercises and getting my legs closer to my body - I can even sit upright with one leg underneath me), having dresses to wear now.

I have two things I want to do today - clean the bathroom and sort out the spare room, which looks like a junk shop. This is partly because I store some of my sales stock in there, but there also toys that the GCs no longer play with and various other stuff. Good news is that the 2 big boxes of lego have gone. DD2 took them for her new special needs classroom. If her students don't take to it, then it can go to a local primary school for their lego club. Either way, it isn't coming back here!
Aside from those things, I need to check the garden and do some tidying, do a load of washing, and tidy the kitchen. I probably won't get all this done today, but tomorrow is another day 😊
Dinner will be a fish pie - we really are going to be eating everything in the freezer this time, before buying more! And there is a lot. I got fish out last night to defrost in the fridge.

I'm moving again. I won't win any races but I took a bag of rubbish and a sacck of cans to the bins, brought in the towels and bathmat I left out last night, made lunch by using the ends of 3 bags from the freezer and took out 3 RM to defrost. I've been through a pile of seeds, set off 6 lots that need to go in before the end of the month and have another pile to go in between September and November (quick crops and some for over- wintering). I've sorted through 2 piles of socks and made a few pairs. I discarded odd socks that don't suit me - too tight around my heel, fluffy socks that come off as you walk.
I trimmed my hair where it was fluffing out. I've just had a shower as I felt hot and sticky. I've finished another book and hope I may sort through one of the outstanding boxes.
Grateful for movement, books, the series I'm watching, a mild sunshiney day.

I have had my annual gas boiler service - 8 months late - my regular gas man has become unreliable and unresponsive …so I got a new one! £60 well spent. £15 cheaper than the last one as well.
It also means I cleaned the kitchen and washed the kitchen floor. Bonus!
2 loads on the line to dry. Towels folded and back where they belong.
Flow chart made of where I am supposed to be and when for next week, then this morning I had to say No to a job next Saturday, because I waited and waited for them to get in touch, and then last Thursday when I thought any work was better than no work I agreed to another job. Grrrr. I am sick of being asked last minute to step in. I applied in January!!
Anyway, I have 4 days of work, over 2 festivals, next weekend. That will fill another 2 years of NI gap contributions. Only 5 left to fill now (it was 8), and last year's should not need much of a top up whenever they get round to working it out. They are very slow to pay you back, that HM Arrrh! C.
Anyway, I will be FestivalFoxh0les next week, so will not be checking in much. See you when I return. I will be able to tell you what Zac P0lanski smells like, and if Ronnie Wood has woodworm, plus spying on a workshop making n1pple tassels, bringing down the patriarchy with watercolours, and willow crown weaving, simultaneously. .... or possibly not 🤔 either way I am going to be laughing.

Today I am grateful for a dry day for the laundry, for an evening just chilling with the TV, for Pip getting a lift home, for managing to very tentatively eat curry, for our comfy sofa.

Spendy day today. I needed a big new pot for my fig tree. As it is to live in the front garden, it had to be an attractive one, so terracotta instead of plastic. I did get10% off as it has a small chip to the rim. It was the last one of the design I wanted. I also bought some compost to do the repotting. I have worked out where it will go, but it hasn't got there yet. Maybe tomorrow.
Other than that, I did a load of washing and got it dry on the line, and I currently have my 2 winter coats in the machine being cleaned and reproofed. I had enough of the required stuff left from last year, so no spends there.
Picked spring onions and lettuce for tonight's salad. I really ought to sow some more seeds.

Today I am grateful for seeing a gym buddy, for needing far fewer painkillers, for getting a couple of little jobs done, for making time to simplosit and read, for a lovely catch up big sis.

Today I am grateful for not having to leave the house, for Pip being awarded an EHCP, for rereading a good book before it can depart the house, for getting a little soil removal done.
