Lloyds Premier - worth upgrading from Club for BUPA?
I noticed my Lloyds app saying I was eligible for a Lloyds Premier account recently. This surprised me as I had it in my head you needed a £100k income to qualify, but it seems paying in £5k pcm does the trick. As my salary goes in and straight out to a savings account for a few days at the end of the month before coming back to pay DDs and regular savers, I'm already doing this, even in months with no RS maturity, which means not only do I seem to qualify to get the account, but also to have the £15pcm account fee waived, with no extra effort.
The main advantage to me would seem to be the BUPA subscription, as I already get 1% cashback on other cards. Has anyone used it through Lloyds? Am I right in thinking it's the BUPA Well+ Silver package? In particular, are the fitness and wellbeing elements any good?

Up to you really.
Bear in mind that if the GP service prescribes anything, these are not NHS prescriptions so you will be charged the actual medication cost and a private prescription charge. Sometimes this can work out cheaper (some generic medications really do cost pence) but it could also be very expensive.3 -
Does one have to deregister from an NHS GP in order to register for the BUPA service?

No, of course not.
The BUPA cover is provided entirely via the app. It is not nor is it trying to be a replacement for your normal GP. Whether it's worthwhile having the cover, I suppose as it's effectively free then it's better than not having it but whether that cover is actually any use, that will be up to you and your circumstances.

I've not made use of the Bupa benefit myself. I can see it being of use for situations where there is a delay in getting treatment from the NHS, not as a complete replacement for my GP.

No, I have BUPA via partner's work health insurance, you can just ring them and discuss the issue and they sort it for you. For me it was physio, not waiting weeks for an NHS referral when I can get it next day with them for £100 excess but I would still use the GP for the normal checks etc
Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

I have the Lloyds Premier account, but I've never used the GP service as I get BUPA cover through my work. However, it is a good account for cashback. You get 1% as standard, but there are also individual retailer offers in the app which you can add to boost cashback further. It's worth it for that in my opinion.

I recently upgraded fro Club Lloyds, mainly for the cashback since I already have health cover via work. But I've not received any cashback and everyday offers have disappeared with the app saying my account isn't eligible.
Contacted Lloyds and they said there is a technical issue but it's been weeks now. Anyone else had the same? Kind of wishing I hadn't bothered!

I am unable to see my Rewards and Challenges in the app unless I use Help and search for Rewards. I have entered Challenges that way, and I can see that I entered some. But last month’s Payday challenge which I had entered does now not show in the history, and so far there’s none for the current month. None of the Rewards I can see have been of interest.
The implementation very flaky. I have my doubts whether the Challenges actually work.
