Yes they often sue. Dead easy to defend.

But no, they don't 'go to court' because they rarely proceed to hearings. They use court claim papers to frighten people into paying inflated amounts, then discontinue defended ones before hearings. It is easy to see out.

Trace are never involved in the Money Claim process, just the parking company via Moorside Legal

Once a claim is started, it usually ends up in your local civil court, because its a court claim , so reaches a court

I suggest that you are probably wondering if the claimant and their lawyers pay for a hearing in that court, which is usually NO, they tend to chicken out when the hearing fee is due, a few weeks before the hearing date

So take it to court ? , probably, take it to an actual hearing in court. ? , Probably not

Just read post 2 of the NEWBIES thread.

No link. You have two links back to page one of this board, on this page.

thanks, so send the template to their email. Is there a deadline for this? What are typical timescales for them sending an actual claim, this is the one we respond to with a defence

The timescale is less than 6 years from the incident date

Thanks :) what does a claim letter look like? The ‘guide to MCOL’ is this for only when a claim letter actually comes through? Not a letter before claim?

That, but with the blank bits filled in.
