hello:wave:
Today I have only swished and wiped loos and sinks and done one load of washing. I'm off now to do the ironing (well not all of it) that i said i'd do yesterday. I am going to try to keep up with flylady tasks this coming week!

Hello everyone
Not had time to read the thread for a couple of days so hope no-one is having tooooo bad a time!
Busy morning so far - I have a dresser in a small annexe off the kitchen (we laughingly call it "The Breakfast Room" because it ain't big enough even for a table (sorry DH idea of sense of humour:o) anyway, have spent all morning stripping books and china from dresser, washed it all, moved dresser and cleaned behind and underneath it, replaced clean china and books....feel very virtuous now.
Also made donuts, popcorn and chicken noodle soup for lunch and did normal dailies - nothing else from my list though as intend to spend the rest of the afternoon in front of an old film and do some cross stitching.
DD2 and DS2 both pretty well stressed at the moment - DD2 because she has 2 more AS module exams next week and DS2 because he has school exams and figures he might as well be stressed too! DH seen this as enough reason to book city break for us all in half term - 2 nights in Bristol, shall "do" Bath at same time methinks! :j:j:j
Cat still doing primadona act because of furniture changes in living room - currently curled round my neck like a scarf as I type - she's worse than a clingy toddler when she feels insecure :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Right - off to read thread!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Hmmm thought I would be the only one late back from the HHC, phone calls off DP before and after (him having a moan that his car broke-like I care?!) . Got some of my list crossed off, think I will have to do another one in a mo. Looks like need to do three loads of laundry. Still can't find the sausages, I really have no idea where they are but I know I got them out. Saying that I'm not the brightest today, put my socks in the loo instead of the laundry basket, went to use hairspray instead of deoderant (yikes dangerous!!!) put the paperwork I sorted for recycling in the filing cabinet etc, brain definately switched off today!!! Right time to find the sausages then another HHC, I hope wherever I put them the dogs haven't eaten them, saying that they've never jumped up at the benches before and I haven't found the bag they were in....One day I might be more organised...........

thanks for all the thoughts guys. the hotel were going to do it like that as we've got a drinks package with them rather than paying by the bottle. could've done corkage etc but to be honest it was going to be too much hassle! the issue is that it seems that if they do the pouring thing it is basically 2 glasses each. we have a lot of non-drinkers (well, a fair few) and so i had a feeeling we'd be paying for a lot of wine not used. so i decided i'd prefer to just have it on the tables. i have sorted out that in total we have 38 bottles to play with and have divided them amongst the tables, we will just let people know informally that they can swap between tables if they need to. i'd rather know it's all been used or we can save it for the evening do than pay for some we don't get the benefit of!!
OH has gone, bless him, there are eng works as usual so he has a long journey home. it's the last time he will have to do it though as the next time he comes down will be just before the wedding!
my friend had a little girl todayIsla Ruth- nice name.
right, photographer at 4.30, it's just along the road so am going to pack up the microwave first and then dump another bag of rubbish in a friend's bin down the road! there's also an empty house with a bin outside so i reckon i'll use theirs tooMum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
Back from HHC.. better late than never!! it took me a while to get going now I am off on one.
I've found 3 binbags to sell/charity/ebay/fling and 2 binbags of rubbish and 2 loads of washing. I even found the crib drapes which I thought were lost so can now be ebay'd.. they are beautiful as well.
I am determined to have my room habitable once more.. we have found carpet in various corner and loads of junk all over which has been dumped.. I also squeezed a huge king size duvet into a small holdall and stashed that until the warmer weather when I'll swap them over.
I've updated my list again.. and taken off doing anything in the childrens rooms because I have been spending so much time in mine. I am hoping to get the walls sanded and painted white by the ned of th emonth.. which also means the disgusting crappet which has been down for about 20 years can be binned... I am quite excited about that.. I am just waiting for hubby to get back from shop and he is erecting a plastic chest which is to house my abumdance of shoes which are currently littering the floor. It is starting to loko less like a $h!thole and more like a bedroom..
I have until 5pm when I need to feed the children to get it sorted so back to the slave ship I go!
