We will be signing and sending the defence tomorrow, just woundering if its still the same to make it into pdf format and send it to CNBC@justice.gov.uk and we had a look on vestree thread and we read something about it has to be a certain amount of words or lines and ours is coming to 1378 words altogether and on google its saying 49 lines.

Can you please advise if its still okay to send pdf to CNBC

It can be done that way, with the correct header and signed and dated SoT footer

    But

The recommended method for the last 12 months is to copy and paste your defence into the defence box on MCOL, save it, submit it

122 lines is the limit on MCOL

Why are you emailing it? Not recommended any more as the CNBC lose emails.

See the 8 steps. Stick to those.

Never used it but from reading on the forum, I believe that when you save it, you will be warned if it is too long and if you have used any "illegal" characters.

Just one more question as we cannot find the advice under small claims on mse newbies, so do we just copy the defence into the defence box?

Do we not need do a heading like when you send by pdf with claim number and Claimant details etc and do you not need a signature at the end either?

    Thanks

Yes, copy and paste your defence into the defence box on MCOL, save and submit, the limit is 122 lines

When using MCOL, you dont need the headers and footers due to being logged into the Money Claim system

When you submit under your login, its signed electronically, like logging into your bank and transferring money

The 8 steps in the defence template thread in announcements near the top of the forum, 1st post, tells you the process, along with post 2 in the newbies sticky thread in announcements
