APCOA - train station, multiple fines, no correspondence, straight to solicitors
Hello!
Please help, I'm freaking out
EDIT 1: since posting I have now read the NEWBIE guide and will add comments as relevant to the bottom of this post
I have been working away from home for about 3 weeks and have Returned to 6 letters from various companies, ZZPS, GCTT, and Oak Legal Services (all trading under the ZZPS umbrella which feels even more sus)
The letters are all dated 17-July-2026 (7 days ago as of writing)
Each one is requesting £155 and threatening County Court action and solicitor intervention on behalf of APCOA
I fully anticipate there will be more letters like this in the future, as I use the same train station to travel for work and I fully accept some days I was in a rush and forgot to pay
However, for the most part all of these letters list contraventions that happened months ago, 1st May, 11th May, 22nd of April, 4th of June. With 2 from Oak not listing the date or time
EDIT UPDATE 1:
1. Turns out I hadn't updated my V5 since I moved last year. I assume the NTK/PCN have been sent to my old address, but am yet to confirm. I'm intending to go their tomorrow to get the letters incase theirs grounds for POFA dismissal. All the debt letters have arrived at the new address. Interesting that APCOA were unable to find me.
2. I have sent emails to Debt collectors and APCOA data protection teams informing them to erase and update my address.
3. I have checked my ringgo, and 3 of these dates I had paid for parking, albeit it some hours later than I had arrived, but still before the listed timing of the contravention (although I'm sure they will use the ANPR of my reg entering and delay to pay against me) I'm usually quite good at paying but I'm almost always in a rush
4. I rang APCOA (before reading the FAQ) but didn't accept liability as the driver, the woman said only the 6 had been handed over to debt collectors and that they no longer had the power to cancel the PCN's, which is ofcourse a total lie

you can ignore oak

should I contact them and inform them there was no NTK provided within the 14 days? what about ZZPS and GCTT.
Ignoring them is one thing, but how do I get these closed? I've drafted up a letter to send APCOA both in email and in writing that I never recieved an NTK for the 6 contraventions and therefore had no knowledge or ability to appeal or pay during that alloted window. Will they just respond and say "we sent the letters" ?0 -
Have you checked the address on your V5 is correct? Has it been updated recently?

’Ignore’ really means what it says. No representations will cause APCOA to reconsider. To date, APCOA has never resorted to litigation. The county court is where you could ‘get these closed off’, but APCOA won’t take you there.
Come back if you get anything that looks like a court claim - you’d be their first!

Have just checked, I never updated it from my previous address, that's probably me screwed then

Not at all, but get it updated and make sure to inform any relevant companies. Then as above ignore it unless/untill you get a court letter

Is that not a massive risk? are their not people who have actually been taken to court? I have 3 separate companies after me now and now I realise my V5 was registered to my old address I don't really have a leg to stand on?

You’ve got two legs and you’re standing ok. What ‘massive risk’ do you think you are facing? How else do you think you can bottom this out?

I'm just reading the NEWBIE FAQ, as originally I assumed they hadn't issued NTK's but they had. Ironic the solicitor's found my new address but APCOA couldn't.
my risk of fear is being taken to court by which point these 6 letters will amount to a fortune. I didn't get a chance to appeal the NTK and now have these solicitor letters to keep me anxious. It's scary to just ignore them and hope not to get caught just because others haven't.I've just rung APCOA to ask about further charges that might have been sent to the previous address, she said it's only those 6 that have been sent to debt collectors but can't confirm if they're anymore PCN's, not sure if I should have rung them but I needed a nugget of peace of mind that I wouldn't have any more turning up.

You do not have 3 firms after you at all
That is completely false
Also there is no risk. You have been given this advice for a reason
