Charter Savings Bank ISAs

Finally getting myself into action.

I have a matured cash ISA from last year to find a new home for, and this year's cash to invest too.

I'm attracted by CSB's rates (4.63% 1 year, 4.72% 2 year). Am considering putting the transferred ISA into one, and the new ISA into the other - to hedge my bets against what rates might do over the coming year or more. However, before I make the decision, can anyone comment on:

a) Are there any reasons to think that opening two different ISAs with CSB might be problematic?

b) What is the general reputation of CSB like?

Thanks.

Charter Savings Banks are multi award winners for good reason. I have been with them many years with ISAs and ordinary savings accounts and cannot fault their UK based customer service.

You should have no problem with your plan of action for the two fixed rate ISAs.

My only criticisms of Charter are that they still do not have a mobile app, and do not offer a Flexible ISA, but if these aspects do not concern you I certainly reccomend them,

I have a few cash ISA accounts with Charter at the moment so you shouldn't have any issues opening more than one.

I've been with them for a number of years now - the only problem I've had was when I opened my first account and they couldn't verify my nominated bank account and had to post them a bank statement (they're the only bank where this has been an issue so I'm not sure what the problem was) but I haven't had any issues since.

    Thanks @refluxer

Have successfully opened the 2-year with a transfer in request from Virgin Money (let's see how that goes!).

Then opened the 1-year and have sent the money from my nominated bank account.

Can't believe how clear their online process was. Definitely good.

Another thing with CSB if you have an EA ISA and a better rate comes along you can open the new account and do the transfer online yourself.

Same if you want to go from EA to a fixed ISA.
