Court Claim from Blaze Parking management

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advice regarding a County Court claim I've just received from DCB Legal for two private parking charges.

Here's the timeline:

  • I received a Letter of Claim dated 23 March for two parking charges, totalling £340 (£170 each).
  • Rather than ignoring it, I contacted them and agreed a 3-month payment plan on 18 April.
  • They successfully collected the first payment.
  • I was under the impression the remaining payments would be taken automatically, as agreed.
  • DCB Legal now says the subsequent payments were declined, but I never received any notification from them that the payments had failed or that the payment plan had been cancelled. I genuinely had no idea there was any issue.
  • Instead, I've now been served with County Court claims for approximately £280 and £300 respectively.

This feels very unfair. I made every effort to resolve the matter before court proceedings by entering into a payment plan in good faith. If the later payments genuinely failed, I believe DCB Legal should have contacted me and given me the opportunity to rectify the issue before issuing court proceedings.

My questions are:

  1. Does the fact that we had an agreed payment plan provide any basis for defending the claims, or at least arguing that court proceedings were unreasonable or premature?
  2. Can I ask the court to take into account that I had already started paying and was attempting to settle the debt?
  3. Has anyone had a similar experience with DCB Legal issuing claims despite an existing payment arrangement?

I have all the emails confirming the payment plan and proof that the first payment was successfully collected.

Any advice on the best way to proceed would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Could you please let me know what are the next steps i should take? Thanks

Name the private parking company claimant involved

Post the Issue date from each of the 2 claim forms, ir are they the same issue date. ?

Post redacted pictures of both POC details, after hiding the VRM details first

Are they almost identical. ? Same parking company, same vehicle, same location, just different incident dates. ?

You definitely do not have a CCJ , you have 2 Money Claims, 2 Court Claims, no J for Judgment or Judgments

Claim 1 : The claimant is "Blaze Parking management LTD" , represented by DCB Legal.

Claim 2 : The claimant is "Highview Parking LTD" , represented by DCB Legal.

Issue date : Letter of Claim 1: 23rd march 2026

    Letter of Claim 2 : 26th March 2026

Court Claim date (for both claims) : 13-07-2026

Different parking company, same vehicle, different location, different incident dates.

Yes thanks for correcting that its Court Claim i have received not CCJ.

I doubt that its Highway Parking Ltd, more likely to be Highview

Its not going to be March 2026, because if it is then the deadline expired before May, meaning that they will be CCJ's, so sort out your dates from the top right of each claim form

I suggest that you leave this thread as Blaze, if correct, and start a new thread about the Highview Parking case

With an issue date of 13/07/26 and providing you complete(d) the AoS before or on 01/08/26 your defence deadline date is 4.00 p.m. on 17/08/26

Each claim will need to be defended separately but you can use the defence template where breach is not pleaded. The POC in both cases just states "vehicle remained on private property in breach of the displayed T&Cs"

Like your other thread, please tell us what is the amount they're claiming? And have they deducted your first payment?

Yes I want to see the whole POC (redact your VRM) and what is the amount claimed?

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
