Unlocking maximum attempts reached
I have a Sony xperia xz premium mobile phone, which is locked to Tesco. The maximum number of unlocking attempts has been made. I would like to get it unlocked. I am currently discussing this with Tesco.
What else do you think that I do to get it unlocked?

Assume you are working to this guidance?
Not your question but that phone's 10 years old and runs (unsupported) Android 9.
Assume you just want it for it's decent cameras and very good screen?

Yes I have followed the guidance. I have the unlcok code and checked on the service section that the number of attempts left is 0.
I like this phone and want to keep using it

If I remember correctly, and it's been awhile since I worked for one of the networks, if the max unlocks is zero then only a Sony service centre can unlock it. Network codes won't work any more…
