Hi guys, need a bit of advice if anyone can help.
I've moved back to my mums where she has virgin phone and broadband which i think is awful. My plan is to get BT line installed then get o2 broadband. My question is do i still need to get the MAC from virgin for O2 for the change of broadband, or as i have had a new line installed i can just order O2 broadband and then tell Virgin to cancel?
My mum is unable to ring Virgin for a week and i want to sort it all out quickly.
Cheers

Are you going to be at your mums for longer than 12 months? As most services will require you to be in a contract for that long.
Is your mum still in term with her contract between her & virgin? If so then she might be liable to some cancellation fee's for breaking the term early.
Being as she has the phone line under virgin the property will more than likely have a disconnected BT line so you could be looking at a further £125 to have the line installed and then a 12 month contract with BT.

            Thanks for the reply.
I will be there for 12 months so thats not a problem, my mum has had virgin for more than a year so i can cancel that no problem. I did the BT line on a 18 month contract so could get it for £70 and my mum is happy to stay with BT.0 -

Are you on Virgin ADSL broadband supplied via the BT Telephone line? If yes then you will need to contact VM about cancelling and getting a MAC if need. If you are on Virgin broadband supplied via their cable connection to a stand alone modem then you just need to cancel.0
