Thanks again for all the above.

I went with Nationwide in the end. On my sums for my particular scenario, Nationwide beat Zopa, which beat LHV, and they both thrashed Edge and Edge Up.

As a bonus I should be able to get the switching £175 if I do it right.

It'll be annoying to have to switch again in 1 year, but if they want to offer short term incentives on the assumption I won't be bothered to move at the end, then I'm happy to prove them wrong. 😉

Alternatively keep close to zero balance in the current account and move money from savings to pay any bills. I do that but it does need the discipline to check your account daily.

Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

If they do more in the future you should also be able to get the Fairer Share payment as well next year as they give everyone who meets a specific criteria a share of the profits.

Thanks both, yeah I'm hoping to qualify for Fairer Share if they do that next year. I think you need a qualifying savings product too, but we can probably make that work if you don't need too much in there.

I've just opened up and funded a regular saver towards the end of the year then a jump through a few hoops for the £100 each year - you then don't have the hassle of actually using Nationwide day to day.
