How do I keep my analog meter

My two initial thoughts are.
1 - We shouldnt not modernise because many are ignorant.
2 - Fixed DD has likely had a large impact here, the majority of people only care about how much leaves their bank each month, they might only care about what tariff they on if the supplier insists on an increase. Ofgem have really dumbed everything down, which I think is a large factor.
I also dont think the benefit of automated readings is a minor one, the system is a mess without smart meters, suppliers estimating readings, customers sending false readings whether by accident or deliberate and of course those who cant physically access their meters.Something just came to mind as well, is many smart tariffs have tight criteria to join, which has likely hindered take up a bit.

My parents and my sister both have heat pumps (one ASHP, one GSHP). They're all educated people and fairly switched on, and they both have smart meters, but I've yet to persuade either household onto a smart tariff.
Although the last time I spoke with my Dad on the subject he was looking into it so I might've ground him down 😆

Education is definitely important - to avoid things like being taken in by conspiracy theories and/or taken for a ride by shady ebayers etc.
I've also seen similar 'protection' shields for Wifi routers.
So yes, education, education and education.6 -
wow! Really? There certainly is one born every minute!

Maybe people are keeping their "keyless entry" car keys in them?

Anyone buying one of those should really put their wifi router in a Faraday cage.

Seller should recommend it, then they won't have any complaints.
