Thank you, i managed to find the post and deleted most bits do you think this would be enough to send both Trace and UKPS DPO’s

Not sure if adding reference nunber is relevant for this scenario or just for LBC

    Dear Sirs,

    Your ref: [insert reference number]

    Claimant:UKPS

I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:

    [Insert correct address here]

That'll do but Trace definitely put a reference number on your letter. Use it for their one.

And I would attach proof of address, and of course state the PCN number and VRM.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    Hi,

Just an update of what’s going on and just wanted to see your guys opinion, prior to asking the forum I sent a letter to Trace they have now responded back I noticed they put the date of the parking charge being 04/04/2025 when the charge was in 2026 could that help even if its a mistake on their end. They also extended the date and for me to pay within 7 days(which I am not planning to like you guys suggested)

No idea. But you have proof you sent it.

You can also update your address on Trace's portal, AFAIK, @ChirpyChicken will confirm.

This is downright hilarious gobbledegook! What point are they making?!

    IMG_2909.jpeg

Please clarify, do you have two PCNs with two Trace refs and one 2025, one 2026? You will need to update Trace's portal twice then.

I checked the ANPR timestamps for both and my stay was under 5 minutes each time.

Hmmm show us those images please. Might be worth you complaining to UKPS that:

    • they failed to allow a fair consideration period to read the signs & leave, and
    • neither PCN was received, due to them using an old DVLA address, so please can they reissue both PCNs at the original rare and pause debt recovery, as the Code of Practice requires.

(They won't, but this could be a good one for the CMA. You just need to raise that complaint first and get UKPS' reply so they will have dug their own hole…).

No, both charges are for 04/04/26 and 24/04/26, not sure why they’ve put 2025. They also took pictures of me exiting my car to enter a shop, but the whole thing combined was under 5 minutes. There never used to be private land signage on that spot, which is why I never noticed them adding it.

I’d already raised a complaint with UKPS before this, prior to the forum post, see the message in the pictures below.

Also, I wasn’t sure whether I should access the Trace portal, in case they hold more information. I never signed up for it, and it’s now asking me to register.

Oh managed to find it thank you, would you be able to help me find the email ideally to send this to for moore side legal I tried typing it on the forum but wasn’t coming up for me. Also is the below enough to send:

    Dear Sirs,

    Your ref:

    Proposed legal proceedings

    Claimant: UKPS Ltd

I refer to your letter of claim.

I confirm that my address for service for the time being is as follows, and any older address must be erased from your records:

    Address

You should revert to your client because the ‘propensity to pay’ score in my case is zero, so any claim is hopeless and a waste of the court fee (whether ‘fronted’ by your firm or not). Move on to weaker victims.

The alleged ‘debt’ is disputed and any court proceedings will be vigorously defended.

    Yours faithfully,

    Me

It's Moorside Legal not moore side, however, these have proved useful in the past
