Channel 4+Problems paying with discount code

I've got a discount code for Ch 4+, reducing the annual subscription by £10 per year to £29.99.

For that price it seemed worth having, but when I attempt to use it I get an error message :-

"Sorry, our services are down temporarily. We'll be back up and running as soon as possible."

If I don't enter the discount code the system moves to the next screen without issue, but obviously doesn't apply the discount.

I've tried different PC's, and iPad, different browsers, Firefox, Chrome, Edge, disabling my PC's security, clearing my cache and combination of all of these without success. I've even contacted Ch4, but they are not interested in helping me.

Has anyone faced this issue themselves and got any suggestions?
