Renew Mazda Assist / Warranty?
Comments

There appears to be some confusion regards terminology in this thread.
For Mazdas registered prior to September 2025 with a 3 year / 60,000 mile original warranty, there is the opportunity to extend it for up to a total of 7 years / 100,000 miles.
That is to extend it - not renew it.
For Mazdas registered after September 2025 with a 6 year / 100,000 miles there is no option to extend it.
Neither the original nor the extended warranty cover 'wear & tear'.
AFAIK the only manufacturer to cover 'wear & tear' is BMW and that is with an 'Insured Warranty' at the 'Comprehensive Level' up to a max of 100,000 miles regardless of the age of the vehicle.
IIRC none of these manufacturer's extended or Insured policies can be taken out once the original warranty has expired - there has to be continuity of cover - no gaps.

No confusion. I said upthread that I had decided against extending the warranty. I have renewed the recovery/ breakdown cover called Mazda Assistance. Still no docs.

I wasn't referring specifically to you Newly_retired (but see post 1) the word 'renew' appears several times in other threads.
So it's good there is no confusion.
