Has this any basis in British Law ? i got a parking ticked from a local authority, thay took me to the traffic enforcement agency, didn't tell me when, didn't tall me where, defendant cannot appear, defendant cannot give evidence, it seems it just a council rubber stamp, but they issue a court judgement that baillifs use as "proof" the fine is owed ?

As this is a council matter, I strongly suggest that you post your query over on the FTLA parking forum website after reading their posting requirements first, they deal with the council ones etc

Traffic Enforcement Centre. It's not a court, so you wouldn't be appearing. It's just where unpaid tickets go before being passed to bailiffs.

You must have missed a fair few letters for it to have got to that stage.

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement, and there will be no admission as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn.

Since your Parking Charge Notice is a vague template, I require an explanation of the allegation and your evidence. You must include a close-up photograph of the sign you contend was at the location on the material date, as well as your images of the vehicle.

I am writing to appeal parking charge notice 8077350 issued by UK Parking Control at your site. I was not the driver of the vehicle at the time. My husband was driving and stopped briefly at the filling station to purchase fuel. Our friends, who were passengers, chose to walk independently from the filling station to the terminal - we did not drop them off in any restricted zone. As this occurred at airport land, keeper liability does not apply, and the charge has been incorrectly issued to me as the registered keeper. I request that you cancel this charge as the circumstances do not warrant a penalty.

If the allegation concerns a payment machine, the data supplied in response to this appeal must include the record of payments made – showing a partial vehicle registration number – and an explanation of the reason for the Parking Charge Notice, because your notice does not explain it.

If the allegation involves an alleged overstay of minutes, your evidence must include the actual grace period agreed by the landowner.

?? That’s not a letter to challenge a council penalty. What relevance has UK Parking Control got to the charge you’re dealing with?

so the traffic enforcement agency is not a court, how can they send writs, the bailiffs letter states "a court has authorised the use of an enforcement agent to recover this debt bt taking control of your goods and selling them"

I have not been to any court, keep asking them to take me but nothing happens?
