If anyone has a right to mutter 'What's the point?', surely it's @hugheskevi - who clearly spent ages writing a beautifully clear model answer, although others posting can also be excused for wondering the same thing.

To quote my dad, "What's that got to do with hens back teeth?" The link you provided was for pensioner income, not income from the state pension. This thread doesn't make any sense which you seem to have recognised yourself.

On the contrary, the chart at that link headed "Distribution of income from selected income sources for all pensioners in receipt, FYE 2024 (£ per week) - State Pension" is state pension income.
