Octopus Energy - Not as good as they think they are

We have had issues each year with octopus but the weekly free coffee and goodwill gestures we end up settling on make it worth while staying.
Recently they didn't bill us for 11 months, upshot is they accepted this was their fault and agreed a £150 goodwill gesture. So that with approx 40 weeks of free coffees from cafe Nero @£5 a pop that is £350 off this year's bill.
It's different for us in many ways we know our usage, know what to hold an energy supplier accountable for and are happy to hold them accountable for their actions and use the system to our advantage.
Otherwise the issues many have could seem like end of the world type of issues

I'm with octopus. I am always in credit with them. Twice now I have been emailed to say they need to increase my payments to keep me in credit. Each time I emailed them saying not to increase payments as I am in credit. They have agreed no need to increase payments. I got the impression the original email got sent out regardless of the state of the account.
