Update HMRC estimate for interest on savings
Hi - If I update the 'Add missing income or tax details' on my HMRC account to show my interest on savings is less than what they say for 26/27, does this put my figure in as being the total due for the year?
It's just that the word 'add' made me think it might add this to the existing total. Probably overthinking this but just wanted to check before I update it. Thanks.

While the initial link is 'Add missing income', once you start completing the details, the next pages include the wording 'Add or amend income'.
So yes, this can be used to amend the estimated savings income for the current tax year.
