Is this a new feature with Amazon or am I being watched for returns?

I'd hate to do any sort of serious reading on a phone screen tbh.

When at work I use my Kindle daily but I wouldn't want to read anything major on a phone screen. I don't even like serious browsing on a phone screen - I prefer a PC for that.

same here, but I don’t think that’s what the quoted post meant. I can, for instance, if I chose to, download a kindle book via the app on my tablet , and I suspect a PC as well .

And how would you then read that?

On the tablet (I don't have one)? On the PC?

I can't take my Kindle out of airplane mode for a while. I'm not getting too much in to it because I'm sure there'll be some finger waggers reading this :)

if it’s the old ‘kindle unlimited’ trick, then I suspect everyone does it.

As for how would you read a kindle book, just like you would on a kindle, although I agree not as convenient as a kindle, it’s still possible to read it on other platforms apart from a kindle.

Ah right. I'm not saying it isn't. Just if it was between reading a book on a phone/PC/tablet & not reading at all then I'd just find a paper book to read. I simply wouldn't read on those screens as I don't like it.

And yes. I suspect many people do but I'm also aware this is MSE & I often find that I'm the devil among angels. :)

I suspect I'm not talking to someone with English as their first language.

Supervisor gets on …. immediately understands the question being asked

I suspect the first "person" was a bot.

I suspect the "Supervisor" was a real person.

Well I got through the obvious bot stage as I always request to talk to an agent.

Whether it was an agent or not I don't know.

I do find they could often do with reading classes. Not just Amazon chat. Other places too.

They've changed some of the restocking policies recently so they may be checking if the item can just go back into stock. It's category related. It may be to do with your returns but could be any reason. It may be something they're trialling for the future. I know they're trying to tighten up their finances and returns must be a big one they can work on.

The bots and the people are trained in the same way. Some of the people have a bit of autonomy on refunds.

I had those additional questions when i returned my last item bought on Amazon (only returned two items in the last year).

Guess it will become a common feature going forward
