Blackhorse/motopoint car rejection

That’s quite simply a load of rubbish. My car had done just over 1000 miles and as someone who has mostly only bought brand new cars, it was difficult to tell it was used. At 5 months old, it hadn’t been serviced as no service had been due and it had the remainder of manufacturer warranty.
I don’t know who had it for 5 months and 1000 miles but they certainly looked after it. If I’d bought it from a Mercedes dealer, it would have cost £4k more, probably have more miles and most likely to have been an ex courtesy car at best. The Mercedes Me hadn’t been activated either so I got the full 3 years of that service free.

Delivery miles, 5mo… and in a supermarket, outside the dealer chain?
There's one obvious answer there - damage or mechanical problem, rejected or never delivered.0 -
Could easily be an ex-Motability where the owner died shortly after taking possession of the car, only putting ~1000 miles on it. Motability returns go on a general list from which any of the wholesale buyers, including car supermarkets, large dealer franchises, etc can buy on a first-come first-served basis.

Keep digging and you might make France. You are having an absolute disaster here. I’ve now had the car for over 5.5 years and none of your worries have came to light. As for over 1000 miles being delivery miles, you are continuing to sound like you are clutching at straws. Can you just not admit you are wrong and move on or do you still need the comfort blanket?
At the time, Motorpoint had a good number of them all the same age, similar miles and different colours as well as different model trims. Someone must have been unlucky to have had so many cars of the same model all with damage or mechanical problems.

My post above adds more background, but your explanation would have been entirely feasible if it had only been one car. In over 30 years of car buying, I’ve never known it to be the norm of cars staying within the dealer network whether they are one month old, 5 months old, 16 months old or any age.
