Have been flying.. in the garden.. swept, potted up various plants, cleared and cleaned the entrance to our garden as it had got a little like a dumping ground 🫣
Wanted to get everything done so it’s easy to water next week if the hot weather is returning. 😬
Have s/s the kitchen and packed away dishwasher contents.. Deep cleaned the bathroom yesterday so that’ll just be a s/s and floor wash today.
Catching up with a friend for lunch ☺️
@Pollybear my mum has a resident blackbird that enjoys tufting out any moss onto her pathways.. it’s swept back every day and we watch as he meticulously tufts it all back out 🤷🏻♀️🤣 She also has a baby Robin that is her garden side-kick, any grubs/scrummy treats are hoovered up as she weeds her pots, it’s lovely to watch it’s like he waits for her to get settled by her bench then he appears, gives a friendly nod then awaits some delights, he follows me about the garden when I’m working too, so I have to watch out for him bobbing about the various plants as not to water him ☺️

Good afternoon everyone. Washing on the line. I have some onerous admin tasks to address; I've just logged into one pension site, after phoning because I couldn't get in, in response to an email pointing out there was some correspondence I needed to review only to find they were simply asking me to confirm my address was still current.
Anyway, admin job 2 started - I had travel insurance for last Saturday's train journey. Given that 2 trains were cancelled I have reached out to them to see if I can get a refund/compensation. If they don't come up trumps I'll try delay repay.

Afternoon all. Lovely day again and I've washed and dried our "blankies" we keep in the sideboard for when it's chilly in the evenings. Think we're OK for the next week or two.
Made it out for our walk today and had coffee out. I cleaned the bathroom and toilet fully, taking everything out and cleaning everything. Hate that job most of all, I feel like I'm just moving dust about.
MadameMim, thank you for telling me about the birds in your Mum's garden. I was reading outside this afternoon and the sparrows were hopping about only a couple of feet away from me - and drinking out of the plant saucers again. In the mornings I go to the local shop for a newspaper and always say hello to the crows over there. I've had one come down and land on the path about a foot away from me and I tell myself it's saying hello. Might be wishful thinking. They often call out while I'm passing and I always answer (as long as there's nobody else about which there rarely is at 7 am). I know, I'm a bit loopy.
Hope everyone's OK x

Hello everyone. Friday evening - almost the end of another week, and I wonder where the time has gone.
Today I sorted finances; booked somewhere on the coast for us to stay for 3 nights next week; did WMx3; hoovered and dusted through upstairs; tidied downstairs; ran the DW; blanched and froze carrots and broccoli, and roasted and froze potatoes which probably wouldn't last another week in the cupboard (we're away this weekend too); WUPA; watered the outside pots, and tied up the tomatoes and sunflowers. DH has done very little apart from upsetting me - he went to see the nurse about his leg and booked another appointment for next Friday at 12.00 when we had only just booked to stay a 3-hour drive from here (not allowing for any delays en route). Grrrrrrrr!!! I despair!!! Anyway, he saw the error of his ways, rang the surgery, and luckily was able to change the appointment to 5.15.
Tomorrow morning I still have to pack Rosie's bag (she's going to stay with L the dog walker), pack my own bag, dust and hoover downstairs , water the houseplants, and lock all the windows.
Must get to bed earlier than usual, so will say g'night.
xxx

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
Just dailies, washing, walking done here. Although I did hoover through on Thursday and not sure if I mentioned doing some dusting in the living room on Tuesday.
A day on my own today before meeting friends tonight. I have some sewing repair jobs to do later. Right, water garden first.
Have a great day everyone.

Morning all xx
I'm peeping over the parapet and waving a white flag. I surrender.
I scraped my car while parking at work on Thursday morning and it was the final straw. The 'I'm fine' smiley mask slipped and I sobbed. And sobbed. And sobbed.
A lovely nurse that I work with reminded me that it's only three weeks since I had surgery, and that I've had half a gland removed that is responsible for my wellbeing and so my body will be adjusting to that as I wailed I'm soooo tired and fed up. Add the heatwave and resulting sleep deprivation. Add the appointment next Tuesday to get the results from my procedure. Add all the stress over Pops at the beginning of the year. Add the awful office politics and total lack of support from my line manager. Add the approaching building relocation at work. Add the news that my lovely work colleague has been diagnosed with MS. Like I said: I surrender🏳
Anyhoo. I didn't come home. I stayed at work. Worked yesterday too. (I do work with some wonderful supportive people it's not all bad.) And now it's yayyy weeeeekeeeennnd. Feeble woot. I'm such a wuss.
My house resembles my state of mind. Stuff everywhere. It's a 💩tip. However. I'm giving myself the day off. It's my friend, H's, birthday and I'm taking her card and going to stay for coffee later this morning. The plan was to drop off the window cleaner's money and visit Pops on my way home. But I'm not going to. I can't pour from an empty cup.
I've turned my desk calendar from 29th June to 4th July. That feels like an achievement. Sat here realising that I really don't feel well. I'm weird. I don't always recognise when I'm actually ill. I mean no-one has taken any blood to make sure that what's left of my thyroid is functioning - they said it should ramp up to cover for the missing half. Maybe I'm one of the 10% where that doesn't happen. Maybe how I'm feeling (worn out) is normal for now and it will improve. Who knows 🤷♀️.
I'll take it steady and ask the consultant on Tuesday. Unless I feel I need to contact the GP on Monday. That's a plan.
Sorry. I didn't know that was going to come out. 😳. I'm going to let stand in case anyone reading needs to realise that it's OK not to be OK.
Flying? I'm going to get dressed, put out the recycling and feed the birds. I've made my bed.
Rxx

Afternoon all,
Round, take it steady. It really does take time to recover both physically and mentally from an operation, and nobody but you can say what is right for you. Vent on here, we are all here for you xx
On the flying front, I am playing a slow game. Wm x 2 done and hanging outside, various bits ordered for the redecorated LR (ok, not exactly flying but the nearest that I might get to it), curtain material received and inspected, some mini puds made for a bbq that we are going to later. Thenonly thing that I had on my list for today was to deadhead the plants in the back garden and do some cutting down. Guess what I haven’t yet got to.
