I have tried to search the forum for something related to this, but I can only find a way to search the whole forum. Entering Morrisons and Euro Car Parks, brings up many unrelated threads!!

My wife recently stopped to charge up our car. I have told her on many occasions to read the signage, as they are there to catch you out. Apparently it is a 2 hour limit while charging, but I can't find a very clear sign. She had some difficulty starting the charge and had to use several different methods before she was successful.

The "offence" was committed on the 13th June, NTK issued 18th June, not received by post to the keepers address until the 26th June. I can't find anywhere to provide information on the driver (unless appealing?), which I need to do on day 26 from date of issue +2, I can only find ways to make payment (funny that).

Once a parking notice has been issued in the driver's name the appeals process needs to be started online within 28 days that the new parking invoice was issued to the driver. This should buy us another month and a bit to sort out our receipts and hopefully get a response from the chargepoint operator and maybe get Morrisons to cancel it. Anything else I can do in the meantime please?

Plan A is always to complain to the landowner so do that now.

Thanks for the reply. I had already contacted Morrisons and MFG for assistance. As I have to sit on my hands for another week or so until returning the NTK, I was wondering what else I needed to do. This one is a bit different to the last one she got caught out on (mis keying reg was the issue we found eventually), which was a railway station. Different rules here though.

Morrisons are the very best of the ‘big beast’ supermarkets for cancelling PCNs. Did your wife use the store on that occasion? If so, take receipt/credit card statement (and if she has one, a More loyalty card) and ask to see the manager (not the Customer Services fob-off merchant) and ask him/her to get this cancelled.

In addition, on the M’s website, there is a parking portal with a pro forma to complete for cancellation request.

For the future, should more than the maximum time be required (or just to cover your back), on the CS desk counter, look for the keypad (which visiting reps use) on which to enter your car’s VRM to get worry-free all-day parking. You’ve got to get to know all the wheezes to avoid these scammers getting at your wallet, because, for sure, they’ll be using every trick in the book to trick you out of your hard-earned. Fight vile with guile!

As above, they will cancel it but you have to get past the fob off merchant first!

All the evidence in many threads suggests that several in this rogue industry are almost certainly using second class post or a third party 'mail consolidator' that causes an extra week of delay.

Unacceptable: MHCLG kindly take note.

Not a proper Royal Mail posting frank, only a "Delivered by" frank. No way to ID who the processor was.

Sorry to hijack, but I just remembered something when I saw this, C-m: last week, Royal Mail put a leaflet through our doors to say that they're reducing the number of times per week they'll deliver 2nd class post.

So, instead of daily, it's going to drop to once every 2-3 days, excluding Saturdays.

UPDATE:

Squeaky bum time as the appeal date was getting ever closer and I had heard nothing back from Morrison's. This afternoon an email has landed stating the parking charge has been cancelled. Big up for Morrisons 👍️

Something else we weren't aware of that was included in the email. If extra time is needed in the car park, you can go to customer services in store and register the vehicle registration with them.
