Parking Fine - Mistaken Identity

If DCB Legal issue a claim then your MiL could (and probably should) counterclaim for the misuse of data and harassment.
Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
'All nations attending the conference are only allocated one parking space.'

Have you contacted the shopping centre/area?
You need to hammer home the message that they are jointly and severally liable for the actions of their agents
From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"2 -
Your MiL should email the DPO at Group Nexus again and suggest they re-read the CMA's Open Letter about fair treatment of consumer disputes.
She should tell GN there are two issues:
- What GN have said: "the keeper gave us your details" is in orrect and just hearsay, so I require disclosure in the form of a copy of the communication from the registered keeper (apparently a hire company) where they apparently identified someone with the same name as me;
- Group Nexus are the data controller even when DCB are processing the file. The fact is that DCB mis-traced that motorist and wrongly assumed she is me. It is a case of mistaken identity now. The actual motorist appears to be this person on Facebook, who lives in the area in question (show a screenshot of FB). Whereas I look like this (attach a refs-redacted copy of MiL's photo driving licence).
As you can see, GN's agents DCB has traced me in error. As such, you and your notoriously aggressive agents DCB Group must cease and desist with all contact, erase my data immediately and revert to the original (correct) motorist living 80 miles away.
If not, I will counterclaim because this unwanted contact from DCB Ltd is distressing and has now become a course of conduct of harassment, as well as a clear breach of the data protection principles and UK GDPR 2018.
