I hope the OP returns to confirm whether the item ever actually arrived or what happened.

    Know what you don't
  • Except I didn't mean future breach of contract. We weren't supplied with enough information to ascertain whether the delivery date had passed or not, which I referenced in my second sentence. Hence I said potential breach of contract.

You've definately been scammed in the sense that the mini coolers (including epicooler) that are being advertised all over social media are all fake. i.e. they do not (and cannot) act as advertised - fans cannot cool rooms.

Whether you actually receive the absurdly overpriced fan or not is largely immaterial in that regard.

This is the summer version of the "more efficient" electric heaters that appear everywhere in winter, all claiming to defy the laws of energy conservation,

Several of the (many) Amazon listings for the Epicooler include this text:

    Disclaimer: To ensure complete customer
satisfaction, please note that the EpiCooler is an advanced air cooler fan and heater. It does not use refrigerant gas or a compressor, and therefore does not lower the actual room temperature in the same way a traditional AC unit would. It is designed to provide a strong, highly refreshing breeze.

    So that's pretty clear.

Yes, you're now agreeing with the point I was making - you originally advised OP to raise a s75 claim immediately (on the third working day after ordering), whereas I was clarifying that this can only realistically be done once any breach has actually happened. Chances are that, two and a half weeks further down the line, the situation may be clearer to OP, so perhaps they'll come back and update…
