Do bladeless fans (in general) actually work ?

I can get a Russell Hobbs bladeless fan for around £75 !

They are supposed to be quiet, efficient but do they push the air sufficiently ?

If I was half as smart as I think I am - I'd be twice as smart as I REALLY am.
  • They may be quieter but a standard bladed fan I find is better at doing the job if not a little louder.

I love my Dyson fan - the air is gentle and being blade less dont have the safety issues (cat, small fingers, etc). It is also very quiet which is necessary (people with sensory issues) and low speed is plenty. For us it is the right fan but everyone is different :)

granted but unless I had the other fan physically in front of me (or knew someone who had one) I cannot compare. I had physically seen and operated the Dyson fan and have had other Dyson experiences which have been positive for longevity and maintaining performance. Russell Hobbs - I have had a kettle by them that lasted less than a year. It is personal experiences and perceptions that influences choice and as I said before, for us it is the right fan (given all the knowledge I had at my disposal at the time). Everyone is different :-)
