I really do not know how to move forward. Finish the appeal? But why allow it if it has no chance? or pay? That would draw a line under it

Finish the appeal on the offchance that the adjudicator sides with you, because that will put an end to it, and it's not unheard of.
And because Smart may still concede if you submit a short paragraph because at that point it's not been put to the adjudicator.
And because I want to see what the IAS says to that appeal.
If they refuse the appeal, no big deal. As said above, if Smart issue a claim down the line, come back here and defend it. Based on past experience they will discontinue the claim before it gets to a hearing and you won't have to pay a penny. There's no reason to think you're the exception to that pattern.

Hello all- I have simply stated that operator hasn't made any attempt to rebut any points raised in my appeal. No point rambling on and on.......
Sent and will update. Thank you for the help so far but I'll probably be back.

Seems all OK up to now, despite your case going to the dreadful IAS
Don't fret about it, either the appeal will succeed, or it wont, good for you if you win, irrelevant if you dont because your money is staying where it is, in your purse, wallet or pocket !
We will help you with any future Money Claim in the future if it comes to that route !
If Not so Smart Parking want to keep wasting money on their failures, then you wont be paying them anything towards it
