Or as a person in our local found, it was a police sting, they ordered a knuckle duster online and instead of it turning up 4 coppers did and they found zombie knives and other prohibited items in the property, also done for assaulting an officer in the process of his arrest.

Are they selling them on Facebook marketplace? or is it a company's post on FB that then links to their website?

Are you using a VPN so they don't know you're in the UK?

I've bought firearm accessories from US web-stores who also sell stuff that is illegal in the UK, but they won't ship the illegal stuff to the UK

UK legislation uses the term firearm rather than a gun & catapults & (cross)bows don't meet the definition which is about propelling a projectile from a barrel

I know, I was just using the term the OP used. I didn’t want to confuse them further.

It gets even more confusing when the VCRA starts talking about IFs and RIFs (Imitation Firearms and Realistic Imitation Firearms). Even with a FAC you can’t purchase a RIF (or to be precise, a seller can’t legally sell you one, unless you have a valid legal defence, which a FAC is not one) but you can purchase an IF as long you’re over 18. But you can buy an air rifle that looks like a RIF as long as you are over 18. It’s all a bit crazy.
