Facebook Company selling knives, guns etc

There is a company selling illegal goods on Facebook

I reported it to Facebook on Thursday - but it is STILL there

Who should I report it to - outside Facebook ?

Sale of knives and guns isn't inherently illegal.

Is the company located in the UK?

Is the company offering these goods for sale to customers in the UK?

no idea where the company is located

    Thanks for the DM.

Per their "About Us", they're a bricks-and-mortar shop in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA. Selling knives and guns is legal in New Mexico.

    Edit:

It looks like they're only selling knives, not guns.

Also, their address (despite claiming to be a physical store) seems to be a mailing address shared with a bunch of other companies.

And their returns address isn't Albuquerque or even the US:

    INFINITE SHADOW TECHNOLOGY LIMITED

UNIT E01,10/F, WONG KING IND BUILDING, 2-4 ,TAI YAU STREET, SAN PO KONG HONG KONG

So, they're another of those Facebook companies that spring up selling tat.

There are sellers on Amazon openly selling items that I know are specifically listed in legislation as illegal to "import into or offer for sale" in the UK.

Never associate with idiots on their own level, because, being an intelligent man, you'll try to deal with them on their level - and on their level they'll beat you every time.

Being hated by idiots is the price you pay for not being one of them.

Amazon does have a way to report illegal items. Look for the "report illegal content" link. I don't know how well the process works, as I am not in the habit of searching for illegal things on Amazon.

It's worth remembering that the seller is not based in the UK, and neither is Amazon. But if you choose to order one of those items, then you are the importer.

    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

The item is also prohibited in the EU. UK banned them initially and brought it forward for EU wide consideration.

A friend wanted one and couldn't find any available in the usual suppliers so I had a look and was surprised to find very few listed even on Amazon so I did bit of Google searching. It is something that was readily available back in the day but there was an incident and a bystander was killed which led to the ban.

I have reported the item and linked to the EU decision document prohibiting them.

The facebook advertised company IS selling guns - at least devices with the ability to shoot ball bearings at incredible speed which would inflict exactly the same damage as conventional guns - they call them "slingshot catapaults"

They also sell Knuckle Dusters (protectors in their language) - all banned under Offensive Weapons Act 2019…. specifically available to UK

I have just heard back from facebook re my report - guess what ? Not interested !!

Amazon have replied. They have "removed or modified" the listing. Listing still there so in reality done nothing to remove an illegal item.

A slingshot/catapult is not a gun and is legal in the UK.

BB guns are also legal in the UK. The guns are however limited by a legal power limit and who can buy what type. This is covered by the Violent Crime Reduction Act (VCRA) 2006.

The knuckle dusters I agree with although anyone trying to import one in to the UK would be in trouble if found by customs.
