Lebara showing EE

We've been on Lebara for a couple of years now, no issues.

It always shows Vodafone UK in the top left corner of my Android (OnePlus) phone, but today, for about an hour, it was showing EE and then it went back to Voda!

Has anyone else had this?

Preferred network not available find any service to maintain connectivity.

Is vodafone maybe the parent company? a bit like I'm with talkmobile, but in fact they are owned by one of the big boys. not sure who actually.

Lebara is intending to transition to EE, now that Lebara has it's own core.

But I didn't think that had started yet.

Are they definitely moving to EE? Have they announced anything?

That might be a show stopper for me.

Yes the plan is to move to EE - it's been discussed at length on reddit and various other forums. First though they need to get everyone onto their new IMS core (will makes them a full MVNO, not just a Vodafone white label which they have been for years), which all their new eSIMs are on, and I assume at some point they will issue new physical SIMs for. Once you are on the new IMS core they have the ability to change the radio network/mast provider from Vodafone to EE.

Not discussed so much as speculated, surely this change could be as much to do with the Vodafone/Three merger?

It showed me EE again yesterday … but showing Voda today!
