Bike Wheels Failure - supplier wants money to replace?

It seems pointless.
You will try to hold the CC liable and share all the information you have about the issue. You will honestly share that information in full. The CC will reach the same conclusion as the retailer. The CC is only liable to the same extent as the retailer, not greater.
OR, you will be less than fully truthful in your claim to the CC which is fraud really.

I will always be truthful. ???

No, wasn't aware or told it should be serviced.
Had many bikes before and have never needed a wheel service.

No, I will be truthful.
I feel I have paid for something which is faulty and hasn't lasted a reasonable amount of time.

Then sounds like you will have to sue the seller - Tredz:
You will have two potential grounds:
1 The wheelset is not of satisfactory quality under s9 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 having regard to design, manufacture, materials, cost, and durability; and,
2 The seller was negligent in not explaining to you the necessary servicing/maintenance requirements, leading to the warranty being invalidated.
In the case of 1 the burden of proof is on you. Ideally you need a report from an independent bike expert (eg bike mechanic or repair shop) that supports your argument, Do you think you can get one?
If you go for a s75 claim against your credit card provider under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you will have the same problem.
Whether 2 is a runner I have no idea.
The other option is to pay £120 and accept the first offer of a slightly used wheelset.
Up to you

What aboutDue to the excessive wear on the rim caused by either a worn brake pad, or an improper setup, and the general condition of wheel, the warranty claim was refused.
affecting any claim.

In that case you would not try a S75, given what Manufacture has said.👍
Google advices servicing on these. Manufacture even lists service parts manual
