Bike Wheels Failure - supplier wants money to replace?

If wishing to pursue a claim, you'd need to verify what they're saying, in terms of whether there is any documented requirement to service hubs, whether failure to do so invalidates a warranty claim, and whether the current condition of the wheel is indeed due to such failure (which may need examination by an independent technician).

No additional warranty was included, just whatever the default is
There is no consumer default warrant. It is a bonus offered by the manufacture, over & above your consumer rights. Which are against who you bought from. So are you sure there even is a warranty?

The warranty is on a link the OP gave earlier

Were you told it needed to be regularly serviced?
Did you register the warranty wiith FSA when you bought the wheel set?

Were you told it needed to be regularly serviced? - No
Did you register the warranty wiith FSA when you bought the wheel set? - No, didn't have anything to register from what I can recall
Have contacted tredz for their advice as the seller.

Perhaps ask exactly how one services a sealed bearing. Sounds like a fob off

The warranty page I linked to earlier says you need to register the warranty with FSA.
Did you ever read the warranty when you bought it or asked Tredz what it covered or if it needed to be registered?
If the warranty doesn't cover it - for whatever reason: you didn't register it or it's wear and tear - you'd have to go back to Tredz.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 goods have to be of satisfactory quality. See s9 here for what this means: Consumer Rights Act 2015
Unfortunately, because it's over 6 months old the onus is on you to prove - on the balance of probabilities - to Tredz that the wheel set was not of satisfactory quality when you bought it. To do that you would probably need some sort of report from a bike mechanic or bike shop.
I know that @BikingBud has suggested in a previous post that your wheelset should have lasted a lot longer, but whether you can prove that I don't know.

He didn't register it so it doesn't matter…

The page does have quite a lot of info and claims:
"The Vision Team 35 Comp is a road wheelset designed for training and everyday use. It features aluminum rims with a 35mm depth, which strikes a balance between aerodynamics and weight, making them suitable for a variety of riding conditions.".
From that summary as a lay person I would determine its suitability for UK weather and riding conditions is good. It is not a high spec fragile race wheel
Not on the same page for the wheel the OP bought, but via the Bike Wheel Guide there is lots of information about different wheels for different uses but I could not see anything about maintenance. If it was important to get them disassembled/inspected/regreased/reassembled/adjusted then that should have been notified when the wheels were purchased. It appears it wasn't.
Hope equipment is supported by very clear instructions for maintenance and to sustain safe operation.
As I said we binned the cheap crap and bought Hope because you can replace every bit including these:
As they say buy cheap buy twice but a lot of OEM kit on bikes is now pretty much disposable and perhaps the decision really is what to buy after it fails.
Consider when bought how long they have been used for and decide if it's worth the hassle.

Kept well lubricated& tightened to keep the correct pressure on the bearing.
