you would need to return the item and then claim if they did not refund you.

I agree with the above, this is the very common Far East dropshippers using addresses in Europe issue (I hesitate to call it a scam although i suspect it technically is). Again as above negotiate the highest discount you can and keep the jumper as that's the best you can get - some people have reported holding out for a 30% no return refund. Do not return it, it won't ever show as delivered so you lose even more money.
This is unfortunately the most common question/thread we get.

According to the scheme rules no, the goods would have had to have been returned first.
Some banks seem to be a little more lax about the rules than others so you could ask the question but do so with the expectation that it will be declined.

I am a student and cant afford to pay the postage
Has no bearing on your consumer rights. Yet were happy to spend £45 on a jumper. Which many people would think is expensive.

No, as quality is not chargeback right. Due to it being subjective.
You would have to return the item & have proof of delivery.

Which may well be the problem as there is a high chance it will never show as delivered.
I understand the OP's frustration but she will have to decide whether to take a (big?) gamble or settle for a partial refund.

"One of the better sites for fooling people probably, still a few odd things like a UK telephone number no matter where in the world you go to their site from and expressing their opening hours in GMT given the Netherlands is CET and the UK at the moment is BST"
I agree with this.
Another thing I found a bit 'off' was this:
We only deliver to the United Kingdom.
