Stock market
Hi all,
Wanted to see what people think of the current situation on the stock market. Was wondering if I should pull the trigger on any of these “discounted big boys” or just keep putting into Vanguard S&P 500?
NVIDIA, META, APPLE, AMAZON, MICRON, MICROSOFT, GOOGLE, AMD, TSM etc

Assuming you live in the UK you probably shouldn't be investing specifically in any of these large US tech companies, or in the S&P 500. Better to invest in a global tracker.
Putting all your spare cash in a global tracker may or may not be suitable for your circumstances.

Global trackers will incude these. TBH I find it difficult to avoid them.

looks like a major economic crash is on the way. invest in cryptbros 😉

What are your financial goals/time frame?

Why just the big companies? I have just invested in Mitchells & Butlers Plc, I liked the numbers and they are a recommended buy in Investors Chronical.
With Governments thinking about bans for social media, has that dented the potential of Meta ect?

If you're already invested in the S&P500, you already own those discounted "big boys", in which case buying more is probably not your greatest idea. Why not invest in something else, preferably another index/country or company size…if you must invest in the US, maybe go for a Russel 2000 index for some small mid caps? I personally wouldn't go for a global tracker on top of your S&P500 because that will leave you US heavy, any global tracker will contain at least 65% US. A FTSE 250 Index tracker would be a decent thought.

Given the alignment of the FTSE250 with the strength of the UK economy, it's questionable whether that would be a good investment.

I'm OK with FTSE250 as a long term buy and hold, it's a nice balance to my targeted managed UK funds. But if others don't like this idea, perhaps they can be constructive and suggest alternatives.

Their little book of 12x 20% off vouchers that will arrive in January will put a smile on your face too !

There is nothing wrong with simply posting that S&P500 + FTSE250 is little better than just the S&P and possibly worse the way the UK is going. But since you asked… others have already suggested a global tracker; an ex-US global tracker like XUSE is another option given the OP's current portfolio, though I don't know of any ex-US index funds that include emerging markets.
