Hargreaves Lansdown HL - Cash ISA Transfer out

Just an FYI to anybody thinking of using HL's Active Savings.

It took 37 days from my initial online ISA transfer request for the money to arrive at the other bank. Clearly there were 2 banks involved but from talking to both it was HL who were always slow in responding.

Secondly, they have paid the last partial monthly interest payment to my current account rather than including it in the amount transferred, thus losing the ISA cover. I've had a quick look in the T&C's and I don't see this being mentioned, but it certainly nothing I have encountered before.

A couple of weeks ago I moved an ISA between Santander and Halifax, it took 2 days.

Last year I moved a cash savings account from HL to another bank. HL were very slow. Not impressed.

I would guess with having a 3rd partly involved ( like HL) then there must be an increased possibility of delays.

Started mine on 1st June had confirmation email from new Bank

We're pleased to confirm that we've started your cash ISA transfer from
Hargreaves Lansdown Savings Ltd.

ISA transfers usually take about a week - but can take up to 15 business
days if your current provider needs to do any additional checks

Getting worried now as seems H/L are noted for long delays, just have to wait and see.

Ah Ha! not so good…this message arrived today:

More messing about trying to make contact and talk to someone who knows anything without reading answers off of a script (sigh)

Not impressed with HL for S & S ISA transfer either - took over 2 months to complete a partial move to iI. I chased as did iI on several occasions. HL blamed it on being very busy !
