In fact, I find it seems to be a mixture of the app and online. I tried to do something online the other day - I forget what - and found that I had to use the app, yet as far as I can see, debit card payment is online only. 😳

I too need to download the Skipton BS app but have seen the comments on this thread which has put me off.

For those of you using both online at the app, would you please tell me the version number of the app you are using? Just to be clear, you are not talking about the Skipton by Invite app?

I also received the email / app notification to change to the new app, and yes that is the "Skipton by Invite" version.

I changed over, and I noticed that somewhere in the process it was stated that I will TEMPORARILY lose access to the online service. Also the FAQ for the new app includes this comment…

Once you've moved to the new app, you won’t be able to use Skipton Online for a little while.

I've checked my online access today, about 2 weeks after my app upgrade, and I can confirm that it's working OK for me now.

So that suggests the "little while" mentioned in the process is less than 2 weeks. It's the first time I've checked it since I upgraded, so it could be quicker.

I am talking about the new Skipton By Invite app. I am using version 1.19.0 on my phone. I also use the Skipton website via my laptop browser. Both seem to be working OK.

I still have the "old" Skipton app installed on my phone but if I try to open it, it redirects me to open the new Skipton By Invite app.

My Skipton online access has stopped working since I swapped to “Skipton by invite”. Skipton CS have confirmed to me they will be phasing out online altogether though there is as yet no date for this

I only have a Skipton account for the prize draw. Last time I looked there didn't appear to be anything else at Skipton competitive or worth having. As soon as the prize draw ends I'll probably be off.

I am only reporting what CS told me, today. May be I misunderstood, may be the agent was mistaken, may be the website is wrong…..

All I know for sure is that I can't log in online any longer (it was still working as recently as Oct 5). My login credentials are now no longer recognised online, and "forgot password" requires a code generated by the old Skipton app which I can no longer use because I accepted their invite to move to their new app, and they can't un-do the invite….. Skipton CS are also unable to re-enable my online login.

According to everything I've read, that's exactly what I'd expect to happen and is one of the reasons I'm holding fire for now.
